Ebook jump

all-seeing eye
For those of you scoring at home, ebook sales just jumped to 50% of total earnings on my last statement for Way of the Wolf. Total sales down a bit from last year, and last year was pretty horrible.

That's really frustrating. Back in 2010 I made the mistake of reading Justin Cronin's The Passage, and all I could think throughout was, "This is like Vampire Earth, except the humans are all incompetent and have to rely on divine miracles in order to escape their predicaments." That that book can sell millions while VE sales are declining is frustrating to me.

Ohhh...the passage pissed me off. Even my conservative friends were all into it and couldn't understand why I wouldn't give a hoot about a pseudo-pulp, pseudo-literary "novel" written by an out and out obama supporter. Oh wonder of wonders, the bad guys are businessmen.

E-Books are the big thing now. Almost everyone has some form of reader device. (Me, I'm looking to sell my Sony e-reader as I seldom use it and prefer the feel of the book in my hands.) My books are only published in e-format (because I haven't written anything long enough for DSP to put in paper form yet). And since I'm a slouch at putting words to page lately, my sales are bottom level of the sad pool.
