Shhhh. My neighbors work too. Try a pillow, it really muffles the noise.

Anyway, there's only one thing to do at a time like this. Yep.

Write a poll.

I am both appalled and slightly excited. Like, done right...maybe? it could be fresh and fun. But I just KNOW, in the deep dark corners of my soul, that it won't be done right. Primarily because PEGG AND JAZZY JESS AREN'T WRITING IT.

So, I hope, but I also prepare for suckage. *sigh*

You know, I don't care how good it might be, it will still never have that wonderful scene between Brian and Tim where Tim says, "It made me want to drown things." That whole scene is just awesome.

I escaped that damn country three years ago and now it has to go and invade my personal TV favourites.

I keep telling myself that this in no way taints the original.

If it does turn out to be good, this is Fox we're talking about. They'll put it in a bad time slot or promote it to the wrong demographic and it won't last the first season much less the two it got in the UK.

I will be happy if they prove me wrong. But I'm not expecting it.

I am just so damned tired of watching US television execs eviscerate British properties that I adore. So that when I want to talk about the original, I get to hear the whole, "hey, wasn't that on NBC? That sucked!," "No, I'm talking about the ORIGINAL version, which was actually good." (Coupling being the example here).

STOP MESSING WITH MY SHOWS!!! I like them BECAUSE they are BRITISH! If you take away the BRITISH, it's NOT THE SAME SHOW!

Sheesh.

Now on to Vicar of Dibley starring Kirstie Alley. POST-Jennie Craig, of course. UGH.

Just show the Pegg version. Why'd you have to remake everything? It's not big, or grown-up or clever, you know.

American Spaced will be a big pile of shit.
Edgar Wright has confirmed on his blog that neither he nor Simon were consulted. BUT he also noted that the britcom will be released on DVD in the States finally (good news for those who didn't find a way around the Region problem).

This will be the biggest @#$%&* mess since the US fell victim to the most classic blunder of all time.
