I kind of yawned too. Though I want that woman from La Vie En Rose to win, since that was a quite the biopic with an involving and challenging performance.

Though honestly, I think Amy Adams created the most memorable woman from 07 with her Giselle in Enchanted ("It's like you've escaped from a Hallmark card") - plus she sang the tunes and danced. Sorta. Almost old style Hollywood there, stars who can do more than go to the gym and keep their hair looking nice. Of course comic actors often get the shaft. The Oscars goes to tragic face performance rather than comic face, but I think both reveal important facets of life. I hope Adams gets some of the roles now going to Katherine Heigl. She does nothing for me. Every time I watch her all I can think is that someone just tasered her and she doesn't quite have her bearings back yet.
